Come listen to Art Thiel speak about the fates of the Seahawks and Mariners, as well as Universtiy of Washington Sports, the Sounders, and Sodo Arena!
Art Thiel is a Puget Sound area native who worked at newspapers in Tacoma, Bellevue, and Seattle for 30 years covering sports. When the Seattle Post-Intelligencer went away in 2009, he and co-founder Steve Rudman started a sports news and commentary digital bsite, Sportspress Northwest.
Art has covered nine Olympic Games and numerous World Series, Rose Bowls, and Super Bowls, including the past two with the Seahawks. He also reported on the U.S. Open Golf Tournament at Chambers Bay in June.
His commentaries can be heard Friday and Saturday mornings on KPLU-FM 88.5. He has published three books, including one a year ago on Russell Wilson. Currently he's researching a film documentary on the Mariners' 1995 season that saved Seattle baseball.

On Wednesday, April 29, 2015, Governor Jay Inslee signed
into law HB 1601. HB 1601, the venue bill, helps level the playing field in
construction contracts with counties throughout the state. HB 1601 allows
contractors to sue a county in either that county or one of the two nearest
counties. This legislation helps provide an impartial forum for contractors,
and promotes fairness. The significant work that led to the passing of this
legislation was spearheaded by NUCA of Washington, with support from the AGC of
Bob Marconi is the
chair of NUCA of Washington’s Legislative Committee.
